Pat's Place

After previously visiting and reviewing the newly opened Pat’s Corner, I was very curious to try its older sister restaurant, Pat’s Place. The question was whether the original would maintain the same high level or perhaps even surpass the younger newcomer.
We hadn't booked a table in advance, but we got lucky and managed to get a spot at the bar immediately, even though the restaurant was packed.
It was clear that there was high pressure in the room, and it took a little while before we managed to order, but that didn't affect the overall impression much. Rather, it says a lot about how popular the place is. A clear tip, however, is to book a table if you want to be sure of a smoother start to the evening.
I started with a Thai mojito, which was really good. It was fresh, well-balanced, and above all, not too sweet, which suited me perfectly. It was a great start to the evening and set the tone for the rest of the visit.
We ordered several small dishes to share, and all of them were of a really high standard. The concept of Thai tapas works very well here. The dishes are a good size, flavorful, and perfect for sharing, which makes the meal both social and varied. You get the opportunity to try several different flavors, textures, and heat levels without having to choose a single main course.
The flavors are right where they should be—clear acidity, saltiness, heat, and freshness—but without anything overpowering the rest. It feels thoughtful and well-balanced, while the food has energy and personality. Pat's Place clearly shows that they know their concept and deliver Thai food in a format that feels both relaxed and well-crafted.
The atmosphere is intimate, lively, and laid-back. Sitting at the bar worked very well and gave almost an extra proximity to the restaurant's pace and feel.
Compared to Pat’s Corner, Pat’s Place feels like a slightly more full-scale restaurant experience, primarily thanks to the ability to book a table and the slightly larger menu.
In summary, Pat’s Place maintains a really high level. After the visit to Pat’s Corner, expectations were high, but Pat’s Place definitely lives up to them. This is a strong recommendation if you want to eat great Thai food in a tapas style on Söder in Stockholm.
Do book a table in time, or get lucky and grab a spot at the bar.
